Our contribution to the RPM challenge is in! Rise & Shine is a-day-in-the-life-of concept album, that is, a-day-in-the-life-of Oobleck. Get up, go to work, get through the day, party like a rock-star and do it all over again the next day. All while keeping it funky. The album is an 90% improvised with a sneak peak at some new tunes that are in the infancy stages.For those who don’t know, the RPM Challenge asks musicians to record an album in the month of February with either 10 songs or 35 minutes of previously unreleased material. Ours was recorded almost completely in one session, straight from the heads of the Oobleck crew.
