Join us at the last Fork in the Road for the season, a food truck event hosted by Albany BID that will take place at Tricentennial Park on Broadway. The event features several food trucks andOobleck will be playing 6-8pm. Come get some grub and enjoy some funk!

Honest Weight Coop Harvest Fest

The Local Harvest Festival was started by the Honest Weight Food Co-op in 2009 as a way to bring all of the amazing local vendors our region has to offer off our shelves and into the greater community. Now in its seventh year, the festival has grown to feature over 50 local farms, vendors, businesses and a slew of great local bands.

Cole’s Rock & Funk Pizza Party
Cystic Fibrosis Benefit

A local friend of ours is putting together a benefit for young local guitar student who has Cystic Fibrosis. Oobleck is helping out at by closing out the evening with some funk! There is a guitar recital in the afternoon, followed by two bands, Organized Chaos first up and then Oobleck.
Casual food (pizza, wings, sliders, etc), cash bar, silent auction. $20 adult ticket, $10 for kids under 12. Come support a good cause that will help out Cole!

I know, it’s a Thursday, but we’re really excited to play with this 10-piece funk band from LI. Oobleck will be hitting first, followed by Ladies Drink Free. Come out and dance with us! We all need your support more than ever!

In Skerik’s words, “I’ve always been inspired by Fela Kuti and Steve Reich, which sparked the idea to start a band built around rhythmic and minimalist concepts. It’s not about soloing so much as creating a polyrhythmic weave with the four instruments. Music that is danceable but also interesting to listen to.”
A bold assertion, but one for which the music bears witness. Together, the quartet syncopates and snakes, floats free and snaps tight with hypnotic afrobeat rhythms, minimalist canons and improvised harmonics. There’s a duality that demands listeners both dance and get lost in the sound.
